The filming for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is currently underway, and updates from the cast and crew continue to tease fans about what to expect of the upcoming movie sequel.

In a post on Facebook, film director James Gunn revealed that actor Kurt Russell has already filmed all of his scenes for the upcoming sequel. The director admitted that tears were shed when Russell filmed his final scene for the movie because the cast and crew enjoyed working with him on the set.

"That's a wrap on Kurt Russell for 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.' I'll admit I'm welling up a bit. It's not often your heroes are as awesome in person as you believed they were as a kid. A wonderful guy and incredible actor in every way. And he was nice to my Mom, Dad, and dog. I couldn't ask for anything more," Gunn wrote on his Facebook page.

The movie's lead star, Chris Pratt, agreed with Gunn's sentiments when the director uploaded a separate post on Twitter, saying that he also cried when he realized that Russell's scenes had been completed.

While Russell's role in the film continues to be under wraps, reports claim that he will portray the role of Peter Quill's (Pratt) father in the movie.

In other news, speculations about Quill's possible appearance in "Avengers: Infinity War" are coming out, according to a report from Nerdist.

According to the report, the screenwriters of "Avengers: Infinity War," Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, both talked about the Star-Lord's chances of being seen in the next installment of the "Avengers" series.

"Let's put it this way: you know who owns that Gauntlet, right?" Markus stated, as he talked about the Infinity Gauntlet teaser seen at the end of "Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie. "And you know who's in another movie, and his kids are in that movie... You do the math!" he added.

"Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2" is slated to premiere on May 5, 2017.
