 Rockstar Newswire

Rockstar has finally released the Festive update for "GTA 5" to help players get into the Christmas spirit. The holiday-themed add-on brings in loads of costumes and outfits as well as decorations and holiday items.

The update include various Santa Claus garb and a whole new collection of pajamas, masks modelled to the faces of Christmas icons and symbols such as Mr. and Mrs. Claus, Bad Elf, Crazy Gingerbread, Festive Luchador and more.

Thanks to the Festive update, there will also be there new Christmassy car horns for "GTA 5" players to use. Lastly, players will notice several Christmas trees at down at the Legion Square. They can even put up in their own apartments, stilt houses and yachts so the holiday spirit is everywhere.

More than that, Rockstar has also more Christmas goodies set up to ramp up the merriment. The festive outfits and masks from last year's Festive Surprise and the 2013 Holiday Gifts will also be made available all throughout the holiday period.

The game studio wrote that these items will be available for "all platforms," which means that "GTA 5" players on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 will be able to get their hands on them. Rockstar has not run out of treat just yet.

To make Christmas more fun and exciting in Los Santos and Blaine County, the developer is giving players the chance to earn $1 million worth of in-game currency by posting their best holiday-themed Snapmatic to Social Club until Jan. 5, 2016.

Rockstar will pick five lucky winners for this contest. For more information, visit this page. Last but not the least, the game studio promises to drop some surprises here and there.

"Keep an eye out for special gifts on all platforms during the holidays, including the chance for a few snowball fights during the rare phenomenon of Los Santos snowfall in the forecast as well as some special additions to the growing collection of fun Adversary Modes on PS4, Xbox One and PC," the developer teased.
