Golden State Warriors vs New Orleans Pelicans game preview: NBA Playoffs 2015 basketball

The Golden State Warriors will play the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night as the Warriors look to secure a two game lead over their rivals in front of their home crowd in the ORACLE Arena in Oakland, California.

Tonight's big NBA 2015 Playoffs Game 2 between the Warriors and the Pelicans has a scheduled start time of 10.30 p.m. ET, and the game will be broadcast on the TNT network, but will also be available to watch online through live stream.

The Warriors managed to hold off a strong fightback from the Pelicans on Saturday in Game 1 to hang on and claim a 1-0 early lead in the series. Despite losing the fourth quarter 22-33 the Warriors were never in any serious danger of losing the game after their lightning start to the game where they claimed the first quarter 28-13.

The Warriors cruised to an extent in the quarters either side of half time, holding off the threat from the Pelicans and even extending their lead a further three points.

Golden State will be massive favorites to win here again tonight; the Warriors have won 40 out of 42 at home this season, and come into the game with 19 straight wins in front of their home fans.

Anthony Davis will be hoping for a result today. He has commented on the atmosphere the postseason brings with it to games: "It's definitely a different level, different atmosphere. Calls are different. Guys been scouting you, they know your moves. It's very different. But this is what you come to the league for, to get playoff experience and eventually get to the Finals and win a ring. But it starts here."

He added, "My first playoff experience, it was pretty hectic. So much going on, it was so loud I couldn't hear my teammates, my coaches. We started off bad as a team and picked it up as a team when we all got calm."

Tonight's big NBA 2015 Playoffs Game 2 between the Golden State Warriors and the New Orleans Pelicans will start at 10.30 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the TNT network.
