The new gameplay trailer for "God of War" featured a cooperative combat mode between Kratos and his son Atreus. Many fans are excited for the release of the game in early 2018. Sony revealed new trailers for several anticipated video games in 2018. Sony, in collaboration with the Paris Games Week, unveiled gameplay and story trailers last Oct. 30.

One of the biggest trailer to be presented is Santa Monica Studio's "God of War." The sneak peek showed a stone creature with flames igniting from its core. There are no new weapons unveiled in the video. The trailer also highlighted an extensive combat display. The enemies in the trailer are inspired from Norse Mythology.

Sony and Santa Monica also released a new teaser trailer titled, "God of War – The Lost Pages of Norse Myth: The Dead Stone Mason." The trailer tells the story of the stone mason named, Thamur. However, fans are more excited to hear the name of Thor, the God of Thunder, in the video. According to the video, Thamur and Thor engaged in a battle and resulted in the death of the stone mason. The video also mentioned Thor's "Campaign of Destruction" against Thamur and the people of Jotunheimr.

In a wish list published by WhatCulture, fans are hoping for Thor to be one of the main antagonist in the upcoming game. People are also urging well-known Norse Gods like Loki and Odin. The latest trailer indicates that Thor might be part of the story but the level of his character is not yet established. With its release date closing in, fans are still asking for more updates about the game. The official release date for "God of War" has yet to be announced by either Sony or Santa Monica Studio. "God of War" is one of the most anticipated games of 2018.
