While the third season of "Girl Meets World" continues to air on Disney Channel, speculations claim that the producers of the show are looking for a new network to air its season 4.

According to reports, the plot for the popular coming-of-age TV series is currently getting more interesting since Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and her friends are now in high school. But since the challenges that the teenagers are facing at the moment such as school problems, finding oneself, and serious commitments to relationships could be too racy for Disney Channel, the show could be in danger of facing cancellation.

However, several reports claim that fans of the show are now working to petition for the airing of "Girl Meets World" season 4 on a new network to avoid cancellation. According to The Bitbag, the show could find itself airing on Freeform for its fourth season.

According to CarterMatt, Freeform could be an ideal venue to showcase a more mature version of the "Girl Meets World" series. The report claimed that the network is known for showcasing youth-oriented shows that have deeper plots just like the "Young & Hungry" and "Baby Daddy."

Freeform is also known to be very flexible with teen dramas that deal with tough subjects. One example of it is the fan-favorite "Pretty Little Liars," a young adult drama that once featured high school students who have to deal with murderous chases.

Also, Freeform and Disney Channel are both owned by the same parent company, the Disney-ABC Television Group. The move to the new network would not take a lot of negotiations between the two networks if it will be considered.

At the moment, "Girl Meets World" season 3 continues to air on Disney Channel. Riley and her best friend, Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), are currently having a major rift because both are looking to find their true selves in high school.

The announcement of the renewal of "Girl Meets World" season 4 is expected to come out soon.
