When the popular long-running television drama "Gilmore Girls" got a revival on Netflix last year called "Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life," it was received well by viewers. However, it ended quite briefly and now fans are craving for more.

Alexis Bledel, who plays Rory Gilmore, recently spoke with The Daily Dish. The interview was initially about her new show on Hulu called "The Handmaid's Tale," but she also talked about the recently revived "Gilmore Girls." The four-episode first season ended with Rory confessing to her mother that she was pregnant. However, she did not reveal who the father was, which made the ending a huge cliffhanger.

Bledel reportedly admitted that what went down in the revival's first season's ending was not something she expected or hoped for. She had wanted her character to succeed, but instead, Rory's future now looks complicated.

Because of the cliffhanger, fans want to see more episodes, but the stars have reportedly not heard anything yet regarding a second season. When asked if she knows who the baby's father is, she simply answered: "I don't know. I don't really invest because I'm not a writer on it. I don't have any say so on that kind of thing, so I don't imagine the possibilities."

According to a report on The Christian Post, there is a theory that Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) is the baby's father. This is because he was the last person Rory was having an affair with before she dropped the bombshell on her mother. They used to be college sweethearts, but Rory turned down his marriage proposal on the day of her graduation.

If this theory turns out to be true, it may stir more conflict between Rory and Logan's families, especially because Mitchum Huntzberger (Gregg Henry), Logan's father, never approved of his son's relationship with the Gilmore girl. The Huntzberger patriarch even ruined Rory's shot at becoming a journalist when his son tried to use their family's connections to help make her dreams come true.

If Netflix does renew the show for another season, the story could focus on the war between the Gilmores and the Huntzbergers.
