The production for the "Gilmore Girls" revival may have already wrapped up, but the buzz about the show continues as fans await the official release date from Netflix.
While news remains scarce from the entertainment streaming provider, fans continue to gather information from the cast and staff of the show to get more updates regarding the return of the pop culture hit comedy-drama series that aired between October 2000 up to September 2007.
On Twitter, actor Scott Patterson posted a photo of him and co-star Lauren Graham after filming concluded Wednesday. This made a lot of "Gilmore Girls" fans very happy, since one of the show's iconic couples, made up of Luke and Lorelai, appears to end up in a better place in the revival.
Meanwhile, actor Milo Ventimiglia teased in an interview with E! News the return of his character Jess in Stars Hollow for the "Gilmore Girls" revival.
According to the actor, fans should expect to see the return of the show that they all watched and loved.
"It's classic Gilmore. It's back to the originals," Ventimiglia stated. "It's Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino and the way that they wrote the show and it's all very exciting."
He also said that his rebellious character remains the same in the four-episode revival. But in an interview with Vulture, the actor said that Jess managed to mature to become a nice guy.
"A very, very decent guy, but he never lost his angle of disdain for things that pissed him off," Ventimiglia said. "But he chose to help others along in a more positive way as opposed to the angle of being an angsty teen. He grew up."
Aside from Ventimiglia, Patterson, and Graham, other originals stars will return to the upcoming Netflix revival, including Alexis Bledel as Lorelei's daughter Rory, Melissa McCarthy as Sookie St. James, Yanic Truesdale as Michel Gerard, Jared Padalecki as Dean Forester, and Keiko Agena as Lane Van Gerbig, among others.
The four-episode "Gilmore Girls" revival is expected to be released by Netflix later this year.
