Rory Gilmore's (Alexis Bledel) former lovers are all returning in the Netflix revival of "Gilmore Girls." But who among them managed to capture her heart for keeps?

Speaking with USA Today's For the Win, actor David Sutcliffe dropped several hints about the plot of the show, particularly about the love life of Rory when the fan-favorite series returns for a four-episode special.

Sutcliffe, who portrays the role of Rory's dad Chris Hayden in the series, revealed that Dean (Jared Padalecki) was not the right man for his and Lorelai's (Lauren Graham) daughter.

"I know they're not going to end up together but, Rory and Dean seem like a good couple," the actor said.

However, the actor did not elaborate on who among Rory's other exes, Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) and Logan (Matt Czuchry), actually stayed in her life.

"Well, I have to keep things general, because I've been sworn to secrecy," Sutcliffe stated.

But the actor also teased that the upcoming revival of "Gilmore Girls" on Netflix will boast of a very interesting plot. According to Sutcliffe, making the series again after several years of being off the air resulted in a lot of incredible developments for the story.

"This time, there was a lightness on the set and it made more space for us to just to create and it really comes through. I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product and I'm confident the fans are going love it," Sutcliffe shared.

Other returning characters  include Lorelai's on-again off-again boyfriend Luke Danes (Scott Patterson), Lorelai's best friend Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy), Rory's friend Lane Kim (Keiko Agena) and the stern but loveable Michel Gerard (Yanic Truesdale), among others.

The production of the "Gilmore Girls" revival, titled "The Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life," has wrapped up, but Neflix has yet to announce the premiere date of the show.
