'Ghost Recon Wildlands' release date, news: Ubisoft showcases 12-minute stealth gameplay footage

"Ghost Recon Wildlands" is still a few months away from its release date, but developer Ubisoft has not forgotten its fans. The studio recently released a 12-minute gameplay trailer.

The latest gameplay trailer is a stealth takedown mission. It was actually the same mission featured during the E3 event last June where players need to hunt down El Pozolero. However, in the new trailer, the elite team uses the cover of darkness to their advantage to catch "The Stewmaker." This also shows that missions can be accomplished in different ways, during the day or at night, stealthily or loudly. Having a go at night missions also makes the game more exciting.

The video was described as: "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands offers total freedom of choice in the way that you can complete your missions. For this new walkthrough demo, the Ghosts waited for nightfall in order to take a stealthy approach."

VG247 added that the trailer also featured the sync shot that simultaneously brought down multiple targets at a single command. Single players with AI teammates could easily perform this, and it is very handy in tight situations. Land mines, frag grenades, flash bangs, and diversion grenades are at the players' disposal if they need to create diversions or explosive entrances.

There are also more than 50 customizable weapons available, with different load options, so that players will have the proper weapon to get the job done. Players will not have a problem if they need to follow or move towards their targets over long distances, as well as to reach their extraction point as fast possible. There are more than 60 vehicles to use in the game.

"Ghost Recon Wildlands" is an upcoming open world tactical shooter video game that will hit the shelves on March 7, 2017 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC. The game is set in Bolivia, where the highly covert unit called "The Ghosts" were sent to neutralize the drug cartel know as Santa Blanca. The game also features a four-player co-operative multiplayer mode that quadruples the fun.
