The upcoming installment in the "Gears of War" game series will include fresh new characters and it is said that gamers will be able to play different characters instead of a single one. The first three "Gears of War 4" meatheads were already introduced earlier this month, Kait Diaz, JD Fenix and Delmont "Del" Walker. Now it is time to meet two more, Reyna and Oscar.
The Coalition, the game developer, revealed these two characters for their upcoming "Gears of War 4" and they are both related to Kait Diaz. Reyna Diaz is the mother of Kait and is also the leader of the Outsider village. She was kidnapped by the Swarm, the new opponents in the game, and needs to be rescued by the first three characters.
The other new character, Oscar, is Kait's uncle and Reyna's brother-in-law. Game Informer, who has the exclusivity on several "Gears of War 4" news, said that Oscar is a seasoned warrior and was even given the task by Reyna to protect and train the villagers. However, he was also taken hostage by the Swarm together with Reyna and needs to be rescued during the game.
The report added that Oscar dislikes JD and Del because they have abandoned the COG (Coalition of Ordered Governments.)
During the previous introduction of the three payable characters, the game developer announced the voice actors who play the characters. Kait Diaz is voiced by the veteran Laura Bailey, who also lent her voice to Spartan Olympia Vale character in "Halo 5: Guardians," The Boss character in "Saints Row III" and "Saints Row IV." Bailey also did Fiona in "Tales From The Borderlands" and "World of Warcraft's" Jaina Proudmoore.
Delmont "Del" Walker's voice is handled by Eugene Byrd, who also did Marcus "Boomer" Boone of "Battlefield Hardline." Byrd is also an actor and has appeared on "Bones" and "Arrow."
Lastly, JD Fenix's voice is acted by Liam McIntyre, known for portraying the titular role in the series "Spartacus" and also as Weather Wizard on "The Flash."
The voice actors for Reyna and Oscar haven't been announced yet by The Coalition.
"Gears of War 4" is an exclusive for Xbox One and is expected to be released in the third quarter of this year.
