'Five Nights at Freddy's' news: 'FNAF World' playable characters update; crossover idea with 'Undertale' receives backlash

It has already been confirmed that "Five Nights at Freddy's" (FNAF) will not get a fifth game installment. Although some fans of the game franchise may not be delighted by the news, there's still a new related game called "Five Nights at Freddy's World" that gamers can feast on.

In the latest update concerning the game, Design & Trend mentioned that "FNAF World" allows players to choose from 37 different character and character sets that will become part of a four-member party. The news outlet explained that the term "character sets" was used because some characters can attack as a group and will be considered as one unit.

Based on the trailer of the game, players may deal with enemies, although details about them are limited. However, it's speculated that robotic characters and ones that resemble a crab would serve as the enemies in the game.

Meanwhile, another update comes from Crossmap stating that "Five Nights at Freddy's" and "Undertale" is rumored to have a crossover.

The rumor started when LSF Development posted a trailer of both games on YouTube and dubbed it "FNAFTALE" to ask fans for feedback about what needs to be enhanced for both games.

However, instead of getting useful feedback, many fans were outraged by the idea and independent developer LSF Development headed over to Reddit to give its response.

"At first, I thought quite humorous about them, but they showed such determination to literally prevent it from happening," the post found on Reddit mentioned.

Not a lot of fans loved the idea, especially not from the "Undertale" camp, so the hope of having a crossover between the two was scrapped.

Meanwhile, there were also those who thought the idea was cool. Last week, in The Escapist Magazine forum, a certain user called Sweet Shark stated that she believed that the idea makes "so much sense." "There is so must potential for a great game here," she shared in the forum

Developers for both games have not make any comment on the issue.
