"Final Fantasy" fans have a lot of reasons to celebrate this holiday season. Not only did Hajime Tabata, director of "Final Fantasy XV," reveal details about the upcoming game, but a new rumor concerning the game's release date is also making rounds online.

In an interview with Examiner, Tabata teased fans about the game's plot and a few other details. According to the game director, the upcoming action role-playing video game will feature two types of magic.

"The first is a very generic magic system that is used by people around the world," explained Tabata. "The second one is a very specific discipline of magic, which is only allowed to be used by people within the Royal family itself."

The game director is certainly doing a good job of inciting excitement in all fans by describing the two kinds of magic in the game. Fans are wondering how the two types of magic will factor in once they play the game.

"Final Fantasy XV" will mainly follow the boys on their road trip, but that does not mean that there won't be a few powerful females in the game. Even though female characters won't play lead roles in the upcoming RPG game, they will be able to majorly affect the boys' story all throughout.

"There are quite a lot of female characters the guys will meet along the road they take and they really enhance the story, and perform a lot of different roles in the story," Tabata said. "Not just as love interests but other ways as the story progresses."

But that's not to say that the female characters will just be there to help the boys. Some of them will prove to be challenging opponents, too. "There will be a number of powerful female characters on the enemy side as well," according to Tabata.

Meanwhile, a recent listing on Amazon Japan has become the center of attention. According to Attack of the Fanboy, the retail website listed "Final Fantasy XV's" estimated release date to be June 1, 2016. The publication continued to outline why the rumored release date may prove to be true.
