'Final Fantasy 15' release date news: E3 2016 demo shows gameplay; game lands Sept. 30

Final Fantasy XV Playstation Japan

A new "Final Fantasy 15" gameplay was revealed by developer Square Enix to the delight of the fans at Microsoft's press conference at the E3 2016. Fans were able to witness a hero in a brief boss fight. The upcoming game will be available come Sept. 30.

The gameplay demo features Noc and his party having some fun time bringing down a giant opponent in a battle called "The Trial of the Titan."  Game director Hajime Tabata and marketing manager Matt Kishimoto took the stage and used an Xbox One for the sample gameplay, where Tabatah said, "We are excited to show you the first ever demo of (Final Fantasy 15 on) Xbox One," GameRant reported.

Kishmoto added, "Noctis and his allies are being tested by a gigantic titan. But while they are fighting the opposing army joins the fray, setting up a chaotic three-way battle. We're excited to show how fast and fluid the battle system is in Final Fantasy 15, which has never been achieved in any of our previous titles."

Gamers also witness several attack moves like, Noctis's warp strike attack, which provides a safe distance between him and an opponent and only closing in at the right moment, and the finishing Blizzara attack created by all four heroes to finish the game. However, these moves were already featured in the "Final Fantasy 15" Platinum Demo that was unveiled a few months back.

Kotaku reported that the announcement also included news about the PlayStation VR. Gamers will be able to play as Prompto using the game console's virtual reality headset, but only on specific game mode . The extended trailer for the upcoming game includes a VR scene.

"Final Fantasy 15"will be released on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The developer is still undecided if they will release a PC version as well.
