So far, viewers are enjoying "Fear the Walking Dead." Its first showing was groundbreaking and record-blasting, with 10.1 million viewers aboard the new apocalyptic journey. Its stellar performance is far from faltering.
Viewers now prepare for episode 3 of the series, which is given the title "The Dog." It won't air until next week to give way to Labor Day. This week, episode 2 will be aired again, but when it returns for a new episode, the action and drama will continue.
Previously, Travis, Liza and Chris were in grave danger after being entangled in a full-scale protest that eventually courted the presence of walkers. But the upcoming installment assures viewers that they will get out of the riot safe but not unscathed. According to the synopsis, the trio will head to the Salazars to "seek refuge." There, they will struggle to be invisible to the city's new threats and at the same time, prepare, in the event their safety is once again compromised.
AMC released a trailer for the upcoming episode. The clip shows the group as they make their escape in a van, with Travis driving them out from violent unrest and into safety. Chris sits next to him looking flustered as he tries to comprehend what he just saw. Liza, Daniel and his family are at the back of the pickup. Melty points out that Daniel's wife Griselda looks injured, adding to the extreme anxiety of retreating to safety. As they travel, they go past a frenzied hospital where zombies have found their way in and police shooting them down and doing a horrible job at appeasing the situation.
Meanwhile, Madison will work hard to secure their own safety in episode 3. The synopsis simply states that the guidance counselor will protect her home and in order to be successful with this, she needs to do some extreme measures to fend off their hungry adversaries.
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 1 episode 3 marks the end of the season's first half. It will air Sept. 13.
