'Fallout 4' mods Xbox One, PS4 release date: Xbox One next week but PS4 a long way off

 Bethesda

While the majority of "Fallout 4" fans can rejoice for modding support for the game, PlayStation 4 players are still out of sync since the closed beta period for the modding kit will arrive around June 2016.

Meanwhile, PC users are already experiencing an open beta while Xbox One users are currently in closed beta. The reason for the delayed release of the mods for the consoles is simply because Bethesda is currently focusing their efforts on the "Fallout 4" DLC "Far Harbor".

Furthermore, one of the simpler reasons is that the consoles have always had and adverse interaction with mods, especially since some of them are unpredictable and could end up destabilizing the entire system. That isn't even to mention that some modders put some malicious content in their mods, possibly shutting down and ruining the console for good.

Cinema Blend points out that there's still the question of how the console developers plan to deal with mods that run some hidden scripts that may potentially manipulate the machine's operating system. This is despite the fact that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have custom-made OS augmented by various security layers. Also, the documentation for these machines' OS isn't released, so running harmful scripts through modes to hijack the system is mostly blind a shot. But that doesn't mean that console users could relax. After all, according to the same article, even the lightest exploit was able to compromise an Xbox with the use of a saved game.

Whatever the case may be, this is Bethesda's first shot at supporting mods for their game for consoles. With its fanbase boasting a pretty robust modding community, "Fallout 4" will produce some of the most interesting mods especially now that console players will have the capabilities to make their own mods. Indeed, this could prove to be a great time for "Fallout 4" fans.

If you look at the Church of England’s communications all that it ever seems to highlight is the good works that Christians do to improve the temporal well-being of their neighbours. It is right to highlight these things, but they are not the primary reason for the Church’s existence.
