'F1 2017' news: Upcoming game finally has a release date

Aug. 25 will be the day the "F1 2017" will be released as announced by Codemasters. Codemasters

If there is one video game that all car enthusiasts love, then it would probably be the "Formula 1 (F1)" series. The most recent installment in the series, "F1 2016," had been such a success that the game developers were put under so much pressure into developing the next installment, the "F1 2017." Thankfully, though, F1 gamers do not have to wait for long because unlike the FIFA franchise from EA (Electronic Arts) Sports, the F1 games are released in the same year as their names.

The "F1 2017" will be the latest offering from the "F1" franchise and will subsequently be its ninth installment. The developers of the game, Codemasters, seem to have a lot in store for this new installment and since they have done so well with "F1 2016," players can expect the same kind of quality gaming from the "F1 2017."

In the new "F1 2017," players would be able to see the classic F1 cars making a comeback. It should be remembered that the last time these cars had made an appearance was back in 2013. About 12 classic cars will be featured in the game including the 1988 Mclaren MP4/4. The Ferrari F2002 will also be featured on the game. What's even better is that they can be used in career mode.

The best news of all is that the game finally has a release date. Codemasters announced through their website that they would be releasing the "F1 2017" this Aug. 25. Fans of the game only have to wait a few months more until they could finally get their hands on the latest installment of the F1 series.

As for the platforms, the game can be played on the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4 and on PC, which means that gamers who play using old generation consoles would need to make an upgrade in order for them to play.
