'Elder Scrolls 6' release date: Game to arrive in 2019 with VR support?

The Elder Scrolls 6 is not expected to arrive soon. Bethesda

Fans are looking forward to the open-world fantasy game "The Elder Scrolls 6." They are even speculating that VR support will be available for the next installment of the game. However, developer Bethesda Softworks seems to be not in a hurry to launch the game and it may be released no sooner than 2019.

Fans are on the lookout for any news on the game. However, Pete Hines, the company's vice president, mentioned before that they do want to create a sixth installment for the game but it is not part of the plan yet.

"Just so you know, not at the next Gamescom and not the one after that; there are at least two big games from Bethesda Games Studios before we get around to Elder Scrolls 6," Hines said last month.

In another report, Hines said that the company does not annouce a game that that is still years away.

"You're not going to be hearing first details on [Elder Scrolls 6] years before the game comes out, absolutely not. It's not the next thing we're doing nor the thing we're even doing after that."

These statements provide the clues that Bethesda is more focused on pushing out new game titles rather than expanding what they currently have. Fans cannot also deny the fact the studio is just one of the handful game makers  that can provide the fun and right way to explore open worlds.

Additionally, it was also rumored that the game will arrive with VR support, and is a hot debate within the gaming community.  Bethesda is trying to experiment with the idea, having "Fallout 4" and "DOOM" testing the platform.  However, the question is, will it still be the trend by the time "The Elder Scrolls 6" enter its development or another technology has already arrived, Gaming Bolt reported.

Fans can expect several more years of waiting for "The Elder Scrolls 6."
