The Duggar family from 19 Kids and Counting want children to know what an important role veterans have played in building the nation and they are promoting the free DVD for kids, "A History of the Armed Forces."

"Memorial Day is almost here, but too many kids just see it as a day off from school," the Duggars wrote on their Facebook page. "That's why it's important to teach them about our military and veterans-heroes willing to make the ultimate sacrifice."

According to the Duggars, the DVD was created because not enough children understand the true heroism of men and women in uniform, and their sacrifices for their country are often taken for granted. The Duggars stressed that the role they play in nation building is something every child needs to know.

"As kids watch, they'll develop an important appreciation for each branch of our military," they reasoned. At the same time, kids who watch the video will develop an appreciation for positive, patriotic, and faith-based lessons.

"Please be sure your kids understand the true meaning of Memorial Day," the Duggars urged.

The family continues to inspire fans with their deep-rooted Christian faith and values, and this time around, they are taking the time out to thank the Lord for His bountiful kindness.

The family loves "that His mercies are new every morning, that His faithfulness extends to a thousand generations, that He is slow to anger and quick to forgive, that He blots out our transgressions!"

And that is why when people stop and pause to reflect about who God is, and how much He has done for His people, the Duggars hope that it will inspire many others to "recalibrate" and remember that life is really all about loving, following, and serving God.
