Fans of "Dragon Ball Super" have seen great warriors from different universes fall in the Tournament of Power, and the much-awaited showdown between the two remaining teams is about to begin. Following the defeat of Universe 3's mecha warriors, only the Universe 7 and Universe 11 teams are left standing. In episode 122, one of the notable Saiyans from Universe 7 will face the biggest threat in the battle as he tries to take down Universe 11's most powerful fighter, Jiren.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 122 is titled "Staking His Pride! Vegeta Challenges the Strongest!!" and based on this alone, the Saiyan Prince puts everything at risk to challenge Jiren. Knowing Vegeta, he will give his all to defeat the enemy, no matter how strong the opponent is. Unfortunately, the episode synopsis suggests that the Saiyan will struggle to take down Jiren.
"Vegeta puts forth his full power to battle Universe 11's Jiren, but utterly fails to defeat him. Instead, Vegeta is seriously injured and in dire straits," the episode 122 synopsis reads. Fans may have already expected Vegeta to fight Jiren, as he always wanted to prove himself as the strongest warrior in the universe. However, Blasting News reported that the roster of Universe 11 fighters are far stronger compared to anyone present in the Universe 7 team. Not even Goku or Frieza has the chance to win against any of the rival group's members, most especially Jiren who is considered to be the most powerful contender in the Tournament of Power.
With Jiren likely to overpower Vegeta in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 122, there is still a chance that the Saiyan Prince will not be eliminated from the tournament. The episode descriptions for episodes 123 and 124 suggest that Vegeta will remain in the competition, but the fact remains that Jiren cannot be defeated. Goku could join the battle and fight alongside Vegeta, but that does not guarantee victory over Universe 11.
"Dragon Ball Super" episode 122 will air in Japan on January 7th.
