Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed an additional character to be included on the roster of the upcoming fighting video game "Dragon Ball FighterZ." Android 16 is confirmed to be part of the game scheduled to be released on Jan. 26, 2018.

The character trailer released by Bandai Namco highlights Android 16's attacks, cannons and ultimate move, Hell's Flash. Android 16 first appeared during the Android Saga of the anime series "Dragon Ball Z." He used to be an antagonist but later allied with Goku and his friends to stop Cell.

Other than Android 16, Android 18 will also be a playable character for the game. Android 17 will also be included but only as an assist character for Android 18. The developer hasn't made any announcement saying Android 17 will also be on the characters' roster.

According to a ranking article by Screen Rant, Android 16 is the strongest among the three androids with a 400 million power level and robotic capabilities.

Bandai Namco also released a story trailer for the game. The storyline of "Dragon Ball FighterZ" is an original one tailored just for the game. The main antagonist of the game is a new Android, Android 21 who will be working alongside Android 16. This indicates that Android 16 is on the enemy's side again.

Other major "Dragon Ball" villains were included in the trailer like Cell and Golden Frieza. Before Android 16, Bandai also uploaded a character trailer for Nappa.

Instead of the usual one-on-one combat, "Dragon Ball FighterZ" features a three-versus-three tag system. The video game will be made available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam upon its release.

Gamers can pre-order the game before its release. They can choose between the standard and the CollectorZ package. Both packages come with early unlockable characters. However, the CollectorZ comes with a Goku statue, art boards and a steelbook case.
