Frances (Sarah Jessica Parker) will have to face the repercussion of her decision to divorce her husband, Robert (Thomas Haden Church), in the sophomore episode of HBO's latest original series, "Divorce."

According to the synopsis from HBO, Frances will have to work fast to stop Robert from telling their children, Lila (Sterling Jerins) and Tom (Charlie Kilgore), that she plans to file for divorce.

In the pilot episode of the new comedy series, Frances decided to end her marriage with Robert after she realized that she cannot stand being with him anymore.

The episode started with an argument between the couple due to Frances taking a long time to use the bathroom. Frances did not seem to care if Robert had to relieve himself using a coffee can in their garage, and she did not respond properly while he kept on ranting about his unconventional bathroom experience.

Later on, the couple attended a birthday party with their friends Diane (Molly Shannon) and her husband Nick (Tracy Letts). However, the celebration turned into a disaster when Diane and Nick fought.

The fight escalated quickly, and it ended with a gunshot from Diane. While she did not exactly point the gun on Nick, Diane still had to rush him to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack due to the incident.

In the upcoming episode, titled "Next Day," everyone will join Diane as she waits for the update regarding Nick's condition.

The synopsis for the episode reads: "Frances rushes to intercept Robert before he tells the kids that she's divorcing him. Everyone gathers at the hospital to support Diane, as she waits for news on Nick's condition. In the midst of the chaos, Frances considers finally signing a lease to open her long-planned art gallery."

The next episode of "Divorce" will air on Sunday, Oct. 16, on HBO.
