Disney news: Entertainment conglomerate confirms several movies in store, "Maleficent 2," "Jungle Book 2," "Dumbo" and several more

Disney's The Jungle Book Disney

Disney has things sorted out for the next couple of years. The company has marked the calendar for five additional release dates and there will be a total of nine projects to come. The company has confirmed "Maleficent 2," Jungle Book 2," "Dumbo," "Cruella," and "Winkle in Time." It also announced "Jungle Cruise," "The Nutcracker and the Four Realm," a "Marry Poppins" sequel and a "Tinker Bell" project as well.

The recent success of the company's "Jungle Book" points that turning an animated classic movie into a live-action is financially rewarding. The latest Disney movie has already earned US$533 million at the global box office on its second week, thus deciding to push through with their plans. The film making company has decided to secure the following dates for their next live-action fairy tale films, as mentioned by The Hollywood Reported.

The new dates are: July 28, 2017 (previously as Dec. 22, 2017), April 6, 2018, Aug. 3, 2018, Dec. 25, 2018 and Dec. 20, 2019. This is in addition to the previously announced dates, Nov. 2, 2018, and Nov. 8, 2019. Disney fans will have four live-action fairy tales for 2018.
