Game developer Arkane Studios released Patch 1.1 beta last Friday, but it only addressed three major issues in the game. Now, Patch 1.2 beta is available and contains a long list of bug fixes, UI changes, game improvements and several more.
"Dishonored 2's" Steam page listed a long list of things that the latest patch will offer to the game. It includes general performance and optimization enhancements, re-worked visuals for its auto-detect option, a fix for the multiple game logic issues, and user interface (UI) issues. Solutions for the various mice, keyboard, and gamepad issues were also included, and several concerns linked to multiple displays.
The ALT-Tab bugs were taken out while scaling is now disabled when the game runs at a rate higher than 30 FPS. The Resolution Scaling was also adjusted to produce better visuals.
Additionally, "Dishonored 2" Patch 1.2 beta for PC contains additional settings in the Options menu, it also added a frame rate Limiter, the TAA Sharpness option, and gave additional control over V-Sync settings. A Triple Buffering option is also added.
The latest patch is around 6.5 GB in size, and it will replace the previous patch. The studio also suggests that gamers with NVIDIA graphic cards use driver version 375.95 because of video performance issues related to older versions, particularly with versions 375.70 and 375.86.
To download the patch, one needs to right click the game on the Library and select Properties, then select Betas. A drop-down menu will pop up and then select the BetaPatch. Players must then confirm the action by clicking OK. Upon a successful update, the game's name in the Library should read "Dishonored 2 {BetaPatch]."
Meanwhile, Bethesda, the game publisher, has stated that their latest game will receive an update next month that will include a New Game + mode. The update will be free, although no details were provided during the announcement.
"Dishonored 2' is now available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
