'Destiny 2' release date delayed until 2017 to pave the way for 'Destiny: Rise of Iron,' other DLCs packs for first game

 Bungie

"Destiny" will have its sequel soon, as confirmed by its game developer. However, before this sequel is released, the game will focus first on developing more DLC packs for the current game.

According to MNR Daily, the newest DLC expansion pack is "Destiny: Rise of Iron," and it will feature a lot of new content as well as a new storyline. However, with this new expansion comes some inconveniences for gamers using previous-generation console platforms such as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, since Bungie will no longer offer support for these consoles as soon as "Rise of Iron" is released. The reason for this is because the company wants to move on past the shortcomings of the older systems and deliver even more awesome content.

This third DLC pack will highlight the "Destiny" game's second anniversary, and as such it will get some content that would ensure that even first-time players will feel at home and welcomed. As such, this DLC will be much different compared to its predecessors in a sense that it will be more user-friendly to ultimately get more people to play the game.

For the "Destiny 2" game, the first time hints of the sequel's existence was when Bungie posted a blurred photo that shows a widescreen presentation, with fans speculating that this picture is linked to the upcoming game. Regardless, with the game to be released sometime next year instead, all rumors about the game being released this year has now been debunked.

IGN gave "Destiny" a 7.8/10 rating, noting how the game's appearance and gameplay wonderfully executes, with its excellent combat system, visually stunning graphics, and its good gear game. However, it is offset by its flaws, since the depth of its story is pretty shallow and it has some weak RPG elements.

In any case, "Destiny: Rise of Iron" will be released by Sept. 20, 2016 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
