Dell is mainly known for its laptops, but the company is now crossing over to tablets and this, of course, is not fresh news.

Dell's plans of working on a tablet was first reported in September when images and specs details about the rumored device, called XPS 12, were leaked.

The rumored two-in-one device is expected to be Apple and Microsoft's new rival and it seems leaked information continue to surface online.

Leaked information reportedly came from Dell Malaysia and a German online publication, according to Tech Times.

The report went on to state that Dell Malaysia had created a "coming soon" page for the device but has since been taken down.

However, some people managed to capture the information that was released, and according to sources, the website revealed that XPS 12 will feature a 4K resolution for its display.

The German website WinFuture also has its own leaked information. According to the site, the rumored tablet will be powered by an Intel Core M Skylake and will offer different storage options with its M2 SATA SSD.

It will have a dual-band Wi-Fi and a Bluetooth 4.1; it will also feature Thunderbolt 3-capable USB Type C-ports, as well as an SD card reader.

More importantly, the tablet will either have a 4 GB or an 8 GB RAM.

The leaked specs also revealed that XPS 12 can also appear like Surface Pro 4, with the detachable keyboard feature. In addition, it was reported that the keyboard dock will come in two variants — a thinner and lighter version for regular users and one that's thicker and has several ports intended for high-performance usage.

If these rumors prove to be true, Microsoft and Apple would surely face a serious competitor.

As of the moment, there's no word about the release date for XPS 12, but speculations point to the Dell event that will take place in Austin, Texas later this month.
