"Days of Our Lives" will start this 2018 with a bang as Stefan DiMera (Tyler Christopher) arrives in Salem. Aside from that, Theo (Kyler Pettis) will get a bad news about his health condition. Will Theo recover soon or is this a hint that actor Kyler Pettis will leave the show?

Abe (James Reynolds) and Theo's friends were happy when he finally woke up after a long time of being in a coma. Everyone took this opportunity to tell Theo how much they mean to him, including Ciara (Victoria Konefal). But it appears that things are not really okay with Theo.

Theo's doctor will inform him and Abe that he suffered a stroke during his surgery. This is the reason why he fell into a lengthy coma. This will give another health scare to Theo's loved ones. For Theo, this will be a difficult step since he needs to get into a year-long program before he will totally recover. Spoilers indicate that Theo will not make it, which means that actor Pettis will exit "Days of Our Lives."

Meanwhile, since both Ciara and Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) did not end up with Theo, the two ladies' feud will settle down. Instead of fighting with each other, they will support Theo in his road to recovery. On the other hand, Claire is still dealing with Tripp (Lucas Adams) who is in love with her. Tripp will respect Claire's decision to remain friends since he feels this is better than to totally lose Claire from his life.

Things will also be tough for the DiMeras due to the arrival of Stefan. Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) will introduce Stefan to the powerful family. However, they are not pleased to see Stefan especially Chad (Billy Flynn). He will reveal that he bought the bank where the DiMera mansion was mortgaged. This means that he already owns the place and he will insist to live there with Chad and his wife, Abigail (Marci Miller). He will even try to run the DiMera Enterprises.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays at 1 p.m. on NBC.
