Microsoft is planning to announce its own Summer Sale soon. Nobody knew about it until someone leaked the plan. Games included in the promo were also included in the supposed leaked, and "Dark Souls 3" is one of them. If the rumor proves to be true, this will be a perfect time since the first expansion pack is set to arrive anytime this fall.
GameZone recently reported the Redmond-based tech giant will have its own Summer Sale. This information was according to a Twitter user named Ekim, and it is scheduled to happen between July 5 and July 11. Big discounts will be offered to many Xbox titles and several new AAA games as well. With regards to the prices, it is said to be comparable to Steam's Summer Sale. Furthermore, additional discounts will apply to Xbox Live Gold members.
The report added that some of the games mentioned by the leakster were "Dragon Ball Xenoverse," "DMC 4' (Xbox One), "The Division," "Dark Souls 3," "Rise of the Tomb Raider" (around US$30), "Mirror's Edge Catalyst" (US$35.99 with Gold), "Metro: Redux Bundle"(US$7.50), "DOOM" (over $35.99), and "GTA V" ($35.99).
Xbox One fans hoping for discounts on "Overwatch," "Rainbow Six: Siege," and the "Batman: Arkham"games will have to let it go for now. They are not included on the list. However, this is not official yet since no formal announcement has been made. The leakster added that an announcement from Microsoft may happen this Friday, mentioned in another post.
The tipster previously revealed a perfect match with the Games with Gold line-up for the month of July.
Meanwhile, two "Dark Souls 3" DLC packs are expected to deliver new enemies, weapons, armor sets and more. After the first DLC on fall, the second and last one will arrive by 2017. No release dates are known so far.
The role-playing game published by Bandai Namco is also available via Steam. It currently has a 25 percent discount for the standard edition and a 17 percent discount for the deluxe version. This is for the PC only.
"Dark Souls 3" is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
