"Daredevil" fans expecting its third season will have to wait for a little longer. Netflix's 2017 schedule is already full with "Iron Fist," "Jessica Jones," "The Punisher" and "The Defenders."

Fans were celebrating when Marvel and Netflix announced last July that "Daredevil" will have a third season. However, since a good lineup was already made up for next year's offering, the blind crusader of Hell's Kitchen has to take a backseat for the meantime. This also means that the series can only go back on air by 2018. However, it does not mean that fans will not be able to see Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox). The five series are all interconnected, so Murdock will still be busy cleaning up the streets at night.

It is also too early for any official plot, but fans are speculating that some of the characters that could be featured are Elektra (Elodie Yung) and Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) a.k.a Kingpin, and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson). Other characters expected to return are Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson). Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) a.k.a The Punisher is less likely to be back since he will have his own series with Netflix, Digital Spy reported.

Meanwhile, Charlie Cox had a chance to have a little discussion with his fans during the Dragon Con 2016 event that was held last Sept. 4 in Atlanta, Georgia. Cox was asked by fans why his character does not sport red hair, similar to the comic series. He said that his character's hair will remain as it is, because when they tried dyeing it red, "it looked really weird," Chat Sports Net said.

Currently, there is no confirmed date for "Daredevil" season 3, but it is speculated to arrive by 2018.
