Cleveland Browns trade rumors 2016: Other teams express interest in Josh Gordon; Team still unwilling to let him go

A lot of rumors point out that teams are starting to get more and more interested in getting Cleveland Browns' wide receiver Josh Gordon. Unfortunately, it seems that the team has no plans of parting with him for now.

According to the Ecumenical News, the Cleveland Browns have no intention of sending him away, despite the fact that he has faced a lot of suspensions in the past. Perhaps the team is placing their faith on him, and with the way things are going right now, it seems that Gordon plans to repay his team with his unwavering loyalty. He even went so far as to say that the Browns is his team and that this is the only place he wants to be.

As fans can remember, Gordon first started with the Browns back in 2012, and he was doing great for his first two seasons in the NFL, getting selected to the 2013 Pro Bowl. In 2014, however, Gordon only played five games because he was banned after getting arrested by the authorities. His string of misfortunes only got worse in 2015, where he was banned from playing the entire season, since he violated the substance abuse policy set by NFL.

The 2016 season will have him banned for the first four games, but regardless of this record, a number of teams are still interested in him. It is really interesting how teams still want him despite the consecutive violations as well as mishaps, since this poses as a serious concern for any team trying to get him. Add that to the fact that he has not played in NFL for a year, the mystery is compounded.

Regardless, according to the Inquisitr, the Browns will have a chance of breaking out of their current slump, with a fully-recovered Gordon and the new head coach Hue Jackson, who brings new attitude and accountability for the team.
