"Clash Royale" received its October patch, and the update brings balance to the game. The ever popular Giant and Poison spell combo was toned down. Several improvements and readjustments for several cards were also implemented.

The Giant is one of the fan-favorite all-around fighters. Game developer Supercell, already reduced its hit points by 5 percent in the previous patch and deducted 5 percent more on the October patch, according to the announcement stated.

Previously, the Giant is considered as one of the best tanks in the game. With its current stats, players now have the option to use the Golem and Lava Hound as well since they are of the same level.

The movement speed and slow attack speed were taken away from the Poison as well. The studio decided to make the purpose of the concoction clearer and decided that a player who uses it does not need to control an area for 10 complete seconds.

The Elixir Collector card now costs 6 from the usual 5 elixirs. This will give second thoughts to players who plans to take advantage of the small risk, big return scenario that was previously seen. With the increased cost, a counter attack can be cooked up by the opposing player. Before the update, the opposing player didn't have the option to do so.

The legendary Log card is the cheapest card, but nobody has been using it. Supercell decided to buff its damage by 8 percent, with a faster projectile speed and longer range. Players will surely pay closer attention to the Log now that its damage is much-improved.

The Skeleton Army card also needs to be seen in action, thus, its cost has been decreased from 4 elixirs to 3 elixirs. Previously, the use of this card provides a negative elixir trade when counterattacked by splash troops and damaging spells. Now, it will be less punishing for players to use it. Additionally, this card works best against Inferno Dragon, Mini Pekka, and Pekka, among others.

Bug fixes were also included for the Ice Golem and the normal Golem's Death Damage.
