"Clash of Clans" fans have been waiting for a major update to arrive for the whole month of September. Nothing did; not even the sneak peak which should happen before implementing an update. Now, it is speculated again that the preview could be released next week and that the actual update could be released by mid-October.

According to a post by a Supercell staff member named Anoushka, the sneak peak could finally happen next week. The staff member advised fans to give them a little more time. The announcement said, "If all goes according to plan sneak peeks will start next week, so please hang in there a little longer."

Fans are now expecting that the teaser rollout will happen on Oct. 4 or 5, and the update is speculated to arrive by Oct. 11. It is also said that Google and Apple's approval also play a big part on the actual release date.

"Clash of Clans" players were expecting the sneak peak to happen last week after it was revealed by the game tipster Chief spAnser that the clan Stage server was updated to version 8.481. The anticipation was further heightened when developer Supercell announced on Twitter that a maintenance break will happen after the leak.

Features that are rumored to arrive in the next update include free gem mining, a new hero, new skills, and the inclusion of Town Hall 12. However, the studio stated that it is currently working on a feature called "Friendly Wars." This mode is still a Clan War, but with a more friendly atmosphere.

"This feature is not meant to replace Clan Wars (you can't issue a Friendly War while there's an ongoing Clan War), but it will offer better support for events and meet-ups organized by players, as well as other online/offline Community initiatives," Anoushka's other message stated.

It is rumored in the community that Supercell is working double time to entice players back to the once number one mobile game. It is said that "Clash of Clans" lost the top position to Niantic's "Pokémon GO."
