"Civilization VI" is all set for an Oct. 21 release, and as the date draw nears, 2K Games and Firaxis Games recently announced that a limited 25th Anniversary Edition will also be released. This was after the companies revealed that King Philip II will be the one to lead Spain to a new era.
Developer Firaxis Games announced that the "Civilization VI" 25th Anniversary Edition is now available for pre-order for US$89.99. The package is a collection of:
- A copy of the game and all bonus digital content found in the Digital Deluxe Edition
- A special 25th Anniversary Edition premium packaging
- An exclusive 25th Anniversary commemorative coin that comes with a display case
- A 100-page hardcover art book titled "Civilization Through the Years"
- An Aztec Civilization Pack pre-order bonus
The game also has a Deluxe Edition for US$79.99, which includes the full base game, access to four post-launch DLC packs and the 25th Anniversary Digital Soundtrack. Fans who do not want to spend more can get the base game for US59.99.
The announcement said, "We're happy to announce the CivilizationVI "25<sup>th Anniversary Edition," a custom bundle designed to celebrate the incredible legacy of Firaxis Games' strategy series as well as the latest installment in the series, Civilization VI. We're only able to produce this physical bundle in a limited quantity, so act now to secure yours before it's too late!"
Prior to this, the developer also released a trailer for another civilization available for its upcoming game, Spain. Historically, King Philip II led the Spanish empire in the spread of its religion and the love for the life on the open seas. He is also responsible for the kingdom to be known throughout the world during the 16th century.
Players will have access to a unique unit called Conquistador, a special breed of Spanish warriors and explorers. They are perfectly capable of colonizing territory and creating new trade routes for the King. Its unique improvement is a mission, which is to convert non-believers into Christians.
"Civilization VI" will be released worldwide on Oct. 21 for the Windows PC.
