Church gives $1000 dollar tip to pizza delivery driver

A pizza delivery driver was surprised in the nicest possible way after a congregation decided to practise what the minster preached.

The 600 worshippers at Sycamore Creek Church in Columbus, Ohio took seriously the series of sermons on: "I was Broke. Now I'm Not." They were also praying about a monthly mission, titled Random Acts of Kindness.

To witness to what they had learned, they decided to order a $5.99 Domino's pizza during a service and give the $1,046 collected in the plate across three services to the driver as a tip.

The driver, Natasha, was moved to tears after Rev Steve Markle brought her onstage and asked her what was the largest tip she had ever been given. She said it was $10.

He then told her the church had been learning about Christian teachings on generosity. He gave her $15, then said: "We've been teaching our church this last month about being generous, and so we did something special for you today. We took up a special offering for a tip for you."

The video shows how, when he pulled out the huge wad of dollar bills, she gasped and burst into tears before hugging the pastor and saying: "Thank you so much."

The pastor said: "I hope that this can help you. I don't know what's going on in your life."

She replied: "It can help a lot. Thank you so much. Thank you everybody."
