Many Christian families are frowning upon the shows and movies available on television today because many of them contain violent and inappropriate materials. Parents are therefore scrambling for choices in providing their kids wholesome entertainment.

ChristianCinema.com seeks to provide a solution to that problem. The website is the largest database of faith-based movies that are available for download, either for rent or purchase.

"At WND Films, we recommend ChristianCinema.com as a preferred partner for purchasing our products, whether your preference is DVD or digital download," says Joseph Farah, founder and chief executive officer of WND.com, WND Books and WND Films. "Two reasons: ChristianCinema.com is a pioneer in the field as the only transactional video-on-demand platform for the Christian market, and because they make it easier to find what you're looking for in the format of your choice."

ChristianCinema.com was founded in 1999 by Bobby Downes, who started selling VHS movies online so that there will be more Christian entertainment available for families. The hunger people had for faith-based entertainment was so strong that Downes' business took off, and he went from selling VHS to DVD, and has now gone digital.

Downes launched his very first digital HD movie platform in 2013. ChristianCinema.com now offers over 4,000 titles in digital format.

"Easy access is the key," says Jared Geesey, vice president of ChristianCinema.com. "Viewers can watch on virtually any device: desktops, laptops, television, smartphones and tablets. We are [now] looking into the viability of XBox and Playstation apps next."

Downes says they managed to earn the trust of millions of customers to provide them movies that reflect their faith and values. They do so by screening each film for content to ensure that the movies they offer on their website provide a true biblical worldview.
