Christian singer Jamie-Grace wrote an open letter to Taylor Swift as the latter's mother Andrea battles cancer, and she offered the grieving singer some words of comfort: You are not alone.

Jamie-Grace said that she has often been described as the "Christian Music's Taylor Swift" because like Taylor, she often writes songs that are based on her life and "the real stuff." But the similarities do not end there. Just like Taylor, Jamie-Grace's mother also got sick.

"I want to clarify first of all that my mom's condition is not fatal and does not face a large amount of similarities to cancer. I never want to come across as comparing my struggles to anyone else's nor imply that I understand something that I do not," she wrote. "Even so, my mom got sick. And still is."

Whenever friends and fans ask her, "How's your mum?" Jamie-Grace says she does not honestly know how to respond because they do not know themselves.

"She has a rare, incurable nerve condition that has affected her life in more ways than I can imagine. She is blessed to still work as mine and my sister's managers and serve in ministry alongside my father but faces many physical challenges," she shared.

Jamie-Grace recalls spending several nights crying, screaming, praying and begging God to fix her mother, and most of those nights were spent on tour. She has experienced breaking down several minutes before she has to put on a "game face" and she has no doubt that Taylor will go through the same emotional rollercoaster.

"Even though we have many differences and haven't crossed paths I felt compelled to write this to you," she said. "To anyone feeling hurt or frustrated or confused or upset or alone or simply annoyed by the struggles we face in this life – you're not alone."

It's not fair, the singer added, but Taylor can find comfort in her "incredible support system," and she said that she and her family are open to extend their hearts to her at any time.
