Chris Brown's fans react after Karrueche Tran posts fake bloody lip photo

Karrueche Tran posted this photo on Instagram which resulted to some harsh criticism from Chris Brown's fans Instagram/ karrueche

Karrueche Tran has her reasons for being mad at her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. The model split with the "Ayo" singer last March after news broke of him fathering a child with another woman. Moreover, Brown got into a social media feud this weekend with Tyson Beckford after the latter posted a selfie with Tran. Now, fans of the singer are speculating that the 27-year old is retaliating through a recent post on Instagram, and clearly, they're not happy about it.

On Tuesday, May 26, Tran took to the photo sharing app and uploaded a close-up picture of a nasty cut on the left side of her mouth. The model offered no explanation about the photo, but only captioned it, "Rough day in Chicago."

Later, it turned out that the injury was merely the result of cleverly applied makeup as part of a video shoot she was doing in Chicago, and TMZ reports that Tran was playing a "street fighter" type of character.

But Brown's fans reacted angrily online, accusing Tran of purposely being obscure, knowing that many will jump to the conclusion that Brown was the culprit behind the "injury." It can be recalled that Brown assaulted his former girlfriend Rihanna before the Grammy Awards back in 2009.

Tran was reportedly upset that her ex's fans reacted in such a way to her Instagram post.

"First and foremost, Karrueche didn't say, imply, or suggest that her lip had anything to do with anyone in particular," said a source to Hollywood Life. "The way her lip looks is related to her work."

"The fact that anyone would think it's something more than what it really is, deeply bothers her," the insider added.

The source went on to say that Tran is appalled that she is getting such backlash after posting the picture when all she intended to do was inform her followers about her latest project.
