Some people are criticizing the "Call of Duty" franchise for being consistently the same from one entry to the next. However, it seems that the upcoming game "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" has some other plans, since its developers are making a lot of changes that deviates from the tried-and-tested game formula the game has been using in the past installments.
According to Game Rant, one such feature is the introduction of the Combat Rigs in the game's multiplayer mode, which is basically a twist in the class-based multiplayer gameplay. This is going to prove to be a big part of the entire gaming experience of the multiplayer mode in the game, so Activision released a trailer that explains the new mechanic to the fans.
The trailer in the same article reveealed that there will be a total of six combat rigs for the game, and each of these will have capabilities that caters to a specific playing style of gamers. It will come with its own Payload, which contains the weapons and gadgets, and Traits, which are persistent perks.
As an example, the Warfighter rig is made for mid-ranged combat and has the Ping Trait, which allows it to detect enemies on the radar after killing one of their teammates. As such, this rig is perfect for players to achieve objectives really fast.
As for the other rigs, Game N Guide reports that the other rigs will be the Stryker, Phantom, Merc, FTL and Synaptic. They will have their own exclusive Payloads, unique skills and three different Traits.
Furthermore, the multiplayer beta for the game will feature three maps: Frontier, Frost and Throwback. Also, the upcoming update for the title will ensure that their game can use the "Call of Duty" franchise's signature fast-paced gameplay by giving players the ability to modify their gaming experience.
