'Bones' season 11 spoilers: Booth's expertise in hockey to help solve new murder case

Booth's (David Boreanaz) wide knowledge of hockey will come in handy as he and Aubrey (John Boyd) tackle another murder case after the short hiatus of "Bones" season 11.

In episode 19, titled "The Head in the Abutment," Booth and Aubrey's case centers on the death of a famous hockey player. According to the synopsis, Booth's knowledge of the sport will help him in his line of questioning for the coach of the victim's hockey team, portrayed by former professional hockey player Jeremy Roenick.

According to the episode's synopsis, Booth will be reconnected to his former hockey rival. The two of them will battle each other once again to settle their competition.

Meanwhile, the synopsis also reveals that another battle is brewing inside the Jeffersonian laboratory as Hodgins (T.J.Thyne) and the new lab assistant Oliver Wells (Brian Klugman) challenge each other in finding out who can retrieve the hockey player's missing head faster using the two drones that Hodgins built.

The rest of the synopsis for the upcoming episode reveals that Booth and his wife Brennan (Emily Deschanel) will also have their hands full in decluttering their household. Can the couple manage to finish everything despite their very hectic workload?

"Bones" season 11 episode 19 is scheduled to air on Thursday, June 16, on FOX.

In other news, fans are already looking forward to seeing how the series will wrap up when "Bones" returns for its 12<sup>th and final season in early 2017.

Co-showrunner Michael Peterson told TVLine that they are planning to tie up all the loose ends since the very beginning of the show in 2005.

"There are a lot of things that we want to wrap up -- including some stuff that started season 1," Peterson said. "There are also some key issues for Booth and Brennan that we want to tackle, and we think we found some pretty cool ways to do it."

The showrunner also mentioned that they would love to see a lot of their guests from the past like Cyndi Lauper and Betty White for season 12.
