Bobbi Kristina Brown condition update, news: Bobby Brown and Pat Houston appointed co-guardians

Three months after Bobbi Kristina Brown was found unresponsive in her Georgia home, her father Bobby Brown, and her aunt, Pat Houston, are now in charge of the care and medical needs of the ailing 22-year old, affectionately known as Krissi by her family and friends.

On Friday, May 8, a DeKalb County judge appointed Bobby and Pat as co-guardians of Krissi's estate, the majority which comprises the assets left to her by her late mother Whitney Houston.

Bobby was married to the late singer for 14 years before their divorce was finalized in April 2007, while Pat is married to Whitney's older brother Gary and serves as the current president of The Whitney Houston estate.

Houston died in 2012, leaving her reported $20 million estate to her only daughter. It was previously reported that if Bobbi Kristina were to die, the singer's will dictated that the estate be passed to Whitney's mother Cissy Houston, brother Gary Houston, and his wife, Pat.

"We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown ('Krissi')," Bobby's attorney, Christopher Brown, and David Long-Daniels, Cissy and Pat's attorney, said in a joint statement.

"Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi's care and medical needs."

They added, "The court has also appointed Bedelia Hargrove as the Conservator for Krissi. Ms. Hargrove is responsible for Krissi's assets, including her likeness, rights, and legal claims."

"Both parties are delighted with the Court's decision and are working harmoniously to ensure Krissi receives the best medical care. We are appreciative of the manner in which Judge Jeryl Debra Rosh handled this matter."

Last month, Cissy Houston said that her granddaughter had "global and irreversible brain damage.

"We can only trust in God for a miracle at this time. Keep us in your prayers," she said.
