Jane Doe's (Jaimie Alexander) real identity will be revealed when NBC airs "Blindspot" season 2.

The memories of the tattooed heroine was wiped out during the first season of the action crime drama thriller. But showrunner Martin Gero revealed during the 2016 San Diego Comic Con that Jane Doe's real name will be finally unveiled in the premiere episode of the sophomore season.

"The first episode back, you find out what Jane's real name is, what her background is...it's a very satisfying episode for our fans," Gero said during the show's panel, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The showrunner also revealed that Jane will still be kept by the CIA after Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) arrested her at the end of season 1.

"They've been questioning her for three months, and the rest of the team is listless. They're going through the motions, and they're dealing with anger that Jane is an impostor, especially after doing cases with her," Gero said.

But unlike the times when they first discovered her in Times Square, her captors will be "less than delicate with her" in the upcoming season.

The new season will also reveal what happened to FBI's New York Field Office director in charge Bethany Mayfair (Marianne Jean-Baptiste) after being framed for murder.

According to Gero, "We don't 100 percent know what happened with Mayfair. We'll discover that as time goes on."

Meanwhile, the second season of "Blindspot" will also introduce "Daredevil" actress Michelle Hurd and "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." star Luke Mitchell. While Hurd's character has yet to be unveiled, Mitchell will portray the role of Roman, who is said to be one of Jane's contacts mentioned in the finale episode of season 1.

"Blindspot" season 2 will premiere on NBC on Wednesday, Sept 14, at 10 p.m., then it will return to its regular 8 p.m. schedule for its second episode.
