Director Joss Whedon did tease that fans will be in for a surprise once the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" hits theaters and a lot of them are familiar heroes who will be making cameo appearances.

We recently did mention that Dr. Strange could possibly be one of them and another could be Captain Marvel (or Ms. Marvel). And now if these rumors hold true, it seems that Ms. Marvel's appearance will be imminent.

Ms. Marvel's appearance could finally fulfill a plan by the company to somehow insert the female superhero into the mix and possibly start the hoopla of her movie which is scheduled for 2018. Plans of introducing Ms. Marvel came as early as two years ago but all those plans mysteriously went quiet.

But now, it seems that those plans may have been recalled and put into place, though starting on a cameo basis.

According to LR's Umberto Gonzales, Ms. Marvel or Carol Danvers has already been secretly cast. But the question now is on who viewers will get to see. Will it be that actual Ms. Marvel or simply Carol Danvers?

To those who are unfamiliar, Danvers was initially known as someone who worked for the US Air Force base. Her transformation to Ms. Marvel came about when she met an accident involving alien technology. The alien technology in mention is the same one referred to in the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Kree Alien and Kree Tech).

For the comic book readers and the TV animated series, Ms. Marvel is best known as one of the leaders of the Avengers. However it remains to be seen if that could happen in Whedon's plans.

With that said, it seems imminent that viewers will see Ms. Marvel on the Avengers: Age of Ultron which should further place the excitement up a notch. Also, do remember that this movie will set the stage for Captain America 3: Civil War where Ms. Marvel is rumored to be one of the characters that Captain America will recruit.

"The Avengers: Age of Ultron" releases in theaters on May 1, 2015 while "Captain Marvel" is set to premiere November 2, 2018.
