"Attack of Titan" season 2 is expected to arrive in spring next year and will continue where it left off in the previous season. It is also speculated that a new Titan will be featured in the next chapter of the anime.

Avid followers of the anime series would prefer to see the direct transformation of the manga version into an animated version, which many anime are doing. Previous rumors suggested that the anime may deviate from the original story because of insufficient materials.

The first season covered a four-story arc and there is currently a three-story arc available for the next season. However, the anime used a total of 36 chapters, in which, "Clash of the Titans" and the "Uprising" story have 36 chapters in them. The production team may not encounter a problem at all with regards to the source material.

Regarding the plot, it is speculated that the upcoming season will divulge more information about the origins of the Titans, which will reveal more about the Titan Shifters. Another rumor suggests that a new Titan will wreak havoc on the walled city and will have an ape-like appearance. The Bitbag said that it would be a King Kong-like Titan.

Nevertheless, no matter what path the anime series will take for its upcoming season, it will definitely feature chaos, deaths, and destruction.

Meanwhile, it has already been confirmed that many of the voice actors will be back to reprise their voice roles. Some of the returning voice cast members are Yuuki Kaji as Eren, Yui Ishikawa as Mikasa, Marina Inoue as Armin, Hiroshi Kamiya as Levi, : Kisho Taniyama as Jean, and Yu Shimamura as Ani.

"Attack on Titan" season 2 is expected to arrive in 2017.
