Fans wanted more of the action seen in the live-action movie of "Attack on Titan" last July, and now, they are eager to know more about the next installment.

Now that several reports have confirmed that season 2 is underway and is slated for a 2016 release, many people can't wait to know what the next season will offer.

Citing a report from Crossmap, season 1 of "Attack on Titan" mostly introduced the first 34 chapters of the manga series. The chapters covered four story arcs namely "The Fall of Shiganshina," "104th Trainees Squad," "Battle of Trost District," and "The Female Titan."

It was previously reported that season 2 will feature the story of the 104th Trainees Squad battling it out with the Titans that have smashed down the wall. The story will also feature the king's corruption and how he will finally be dethroned, and behind this rebellion will be Captain Erwin Smith.

It was also stated in Crossmap's report that season 2 will be introducing a new titan that looks like an ape. However, this titan is different since it has the ability to talk and it possesses an impressive level of intelligence.

Levi's uncle, Kevin Ackerman will also try to devour Eren Yaeger to obtain the Coordinate, a power that grants the user control over the Titans. In relation to this, season 2 reportedly will feature Eren having the ability to transform into a Titan, as Yibada explained.

Moreover, season 2 is expected to bring a story in which humans can readily transform into the monstrous Titans.

As for the release date, "Attack on Titan" season 2 is arriving to cinemas soon, but fans still need to wait out for the exact release date. So far, the most concrete detail about the release date is somewhere in the second half of 2016, as revealed by Tetsuro Araki, director for the anime series, according to Yibada.
