The second season of the hit anime "Attack on Titan" is rife with a lot of rumors, regardless of whether its the anime's actual release date or the plot. However, chief among these spoiler rumors includes Krista killing Eren, as well as the development of a love triangle between Mikasa and two other Survey Corps members.

According to Ecumenical News, sources are saying that the new season of "Attack of Titan" may bring about Eren's death at the hands of Krista Lenz. This could be a far-fetched reason, but if the two ever the develop a rift that would cause them to start fighting, it could be possible that it is because of Krista's family background.

After all, it is expected that Krista's true identity will be revealed come season two of the anime, and it is rumored that she will be unveiled as Historia Reiss. She reveals herself to be the descendant of a royal family within the walls and that she is, in fact, the rightful heir to the kingdom's throne.

Aside from that, some rumors are saying that Mikasa will be at the center of a love triangle between Levi and Armin. This is quite unlikely, as seen in the first season where she is in love with Eren and has shown her devotion to him countless times. Regardless, the details of this rumor are still hazy, and it is uncertain how she will develop feelings for either of the characters.

As such, it is then possible for the second season of "Attack on Titan" to deviate from the manga, reported iTechPost. This means that there will be scenes and plotlines exclusive to the anime adaptation, which may not receive good reception among the fans. However, it may be necessary since the source material is lacking.

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 is expected to air sometime in early 2017.
