Watching Manga is one thing but seeing a live-action film rendition of it should be pretty interesting.

Especially in this modern age where comic book characters seem to be having their live-action flicks, a movie such as Attack on Titan should be pretty interesting to look at.

A new trailer has been release recently, somehow prepping the Manga fans on what to expect for the upcoming film. The live-action rendition of Attack on Titan is set to unfold on August 12, 2015.

The movie will be based on the same Manga created by Hajime Isayama and directed by Shinji Higuchi. The story was written by Yusuke Watanabe and Tomohiro Machiyama.

The movie will take place after more than a hundred years after humans last saw the existence of Titans. But for some reason, the Titans are back and now they are wreaking havoc on the human race, consuming most and posing a serious threat to mankind.

Walls were built to protect the human from the Titans, a secure place where humans lived peacefully. The walls seemed to be sturdy enough to keep out the Titans until the day which the humans feared had finally come.

This early, there seems to be some love angles tied up to the movie. After Eren and Mikasa are shown having a passionate kiss, as chaos ensued in the background.

Apparently the trailer has already garnered some criticism, many claiming that such never occurred in the manga series. But do remember that the live rendition will carry some changes.

Attack on Titan will as a whole still be based on the original manga series but is likely to include some changes and some original aspects as supervised by the actual author, Hajime Isayam.

Attack on Titan will be split into two parts. The first movie will start showing in Japan on August 1 while the second will hit theaters on September 19.

In the Philippines, Attack on Titan will open on August 12 nationwide courtesy of Pioneer Films.
