"Attack on Titan" has been one of the much loved anime series since its release back in 2013. The first season of the animated series was well received by its strong fan base, which is now looking forward to the release of the second season.

It was already confirmed that "Attack on Titan" season 2 will be premiering sometime in the second half of 2016, but a report from KpopStarz stated that the series will soon come to its end.

In an interview with Antenna Magazine, via Nerdist, manga series editor Kawakubo Shintaro revealed that there will be about three more years of stories to tell. Speculations about the series coming to an end started to pop-up.

While there is no confirmation on the subject, it is believed that once the chapters have been completed, the anime series adaptation will also come to a conclusion, LatinTimes reported.

If that will prove true, it would be sad news for many fans because "Attack on Titan" has delivered a great storyline that has kept fans captivated.

A second season of the adaptation is highly anticipated. Ever since the last episode aired in 2013, supporters of the series have been patient enough to wait for the next storyline, which focuses on Mikasa Ackerman, Eren Yeager, and Armin Arlert.

Good thing, the announcement on the 2016 release somehow gave fans the hope that they needed.

"Attack of the Titan," created by Hajime Isayama, is a story about humans' struggle to survive fighting giant creatures known to devour humans.

According to Crossmap, season 2 of the series will reportedly focus more on the 104th Trainees Squad from season 1 and how they will continue to fight the Titans, who already smashed the wall that served as refuge for humans.

The upcoming season is also said to introduce a new breed of titans that resembles an ape, equipped with intelligence and talking abilities.

In addition, it was also speculated that season 2 will bring a story about humans having the ability to become a Titan. This should intensify the battle between monsters and giants, and should get fans all the more excited when the series returns next year.
