"Assassin's Creed" just couldn't come sooner. Ever since Ubisoft announced that there will be another installment to the ever popular series, fans have been going crazy and rumors about the latest installment just would not stop coming. While the title for the next game has yet to be finalized, fans have been referring to the latest "Assassin's Creed" game as "Empire."

According to Kotaku, it is highly likely that the setting for "Assassin's Creed Empire" will be in Ancient Egypt. Since Ancient Egypt is one of the first civilizations in the world, rumors suggest that the game may even explore the origins of the Assassin's Guild and how it was formed. Because of this possibility, the game itself may even be titled as "Assassin's Creed Origins." There is also another rumor that explains how players are not just limited to exploring Ancient Egypt as they could also explore different places such as Greece.

Now, the validity of these rumors is still questionable but they provide great insight as to how big the latest "Assassin's Creed" game would be. This may just be the biggest "Assassin's Creed" game as of yet and Ubisoft has admitted that they had been developing this installment for a number of years now. Hopefully, the length of this development will give a new kind of life to the franchise. It is highly speculated that the game would be revealed at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2017 next month, which means that light would finally be shed on the mystery that is "Assassin's Creed Empire" and most, if not all, of the questions will be answered.

News about a new "Assassin's Creed" game was first revealed during a recent Ubisoft earnings report early this May. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot broke the news along with new installments planned for "Far Cry," "South Park" and "The Crew." As of late, no release date has been confirmed but the company acknowledged that the latest installment for "Assassin's Creed" would be released this fiscal year. Most people believe that it would finally be happening this coming fall.

"Assassin's Creed" has become a constant presence in the world of gaming but last year, the franchise took a back seat and Ubisoft did not release a new "Assassin's Creed" game. Hopefully, the long wait would be worth it.
