'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: Felicity's father to return on episode 21

Felicity's father returns in "Arrow" season 4 episode 21 The CW

The Smoak patriarch isn't completely out of his daughter's life despite everything that's happened as suggested in the synopsis of "Arrow" season 4 episode 21 "Monument Point." But his return is not as sappy as one would imagine. Noah Kuttler (Tom Amandes) has his tech expertise to thank in being able to see Felicity again.

In this "Arrow" season 4 episode, Felicity will realize that in order to foil Damien Darhk's next move, he will need a hand from his father whose tech know-how, even though used against her before, could become an asset for the team.

Apart from Amandes reprising his role, this also hints that Felicity might have rejoined Team Arrow again, presumably due to her design to avenge Laurel's death.

In the previous "Arrow" season 4 episodes, Felicity took a break from crime-fighting after calling it quits with Oliver. Despite her efforts to stay out of it, she is always reeled back in, with the fall of Black Canary ultimately drawing the line.

Going back to Noah's return, the "Arrow" season 4, episode 21 synopsis also indicates that he and Oliver will have a "heart to heart talk," one that will leave the latter "rattled." It is a safe bet that this conversation has something to do with Felicity, although there's no way of knowing what the context of it would be.

There will be two more episodes before "Monument Point" airs so there's a good chance that the circumstances between Felicity and Oliver could change. Things have been frosty between the two after their breakup but could it change in the new "Arrow" season 4 episodes?

Fans will also remember the flash-forward in a previous "Arrow" episode where the two are inside the car, with the former telling the latter to take down Damien Darhk for their fallen friend, who turned out to be Laurel.

"Arrow" season 4, episode 21 "Monument Point" airs May 11 at 8pm ET on The CW. The series returns with "Canary Cry" on April 27.
