'Arrow' season 4 spoilers: Felicity really dead? Oliver to seek revenge

Oliver and Felicity The CW Official/Diyah Pera

The last scenes from "Arrow" midseason finale episode, which aired last Dec. 9, was shocking enough that fans just can't wait to get some answers as to what will happen in the second half of the season.

Fortunately, viewers already know that season 4B of the DC-based series will return on Jan. 20, 2016, and the promo trailer for the opening episode suggests that there will be some heartbreaking moments.

In the midseason finale episode of "Arrow" season 4 titled "Dark Waters," Oliver (Stephen Amell) proposed to Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) and she agreed. It was supposed to be a happy moment for the newly-engaged couple, but later on, it turned sour as they were interrupted by Damien's (Neal McDonough) Ghosts, who fired at Oliver and Felicity's limo. Oliver then discovered that Felicity was bleeding and unconscious.

In the next episode's promo trailer released (shown below), Felicity is seen being rushed to the hospital and fighting for her life, while Oliver is shown in the operating room with her, feeling distressed. Felicity's fate remains to be seen, but the trailer also shows that Oliver is standing on a grave and his voice-over saying, "I'm gonna kill him."

Is Felicity really dead? No one knows, but according to an analysis by MoviePilot, the grave could belong to Felicity, but then again, there's also a big chance that it's not hers but is made to appear like it is to keep fans wondering.

What's known though is that Oliver is determined to seek revenge for what happened to his fiancée. The CW has not released the full synopsis for the upcoming episode 10, titled "Blood Debts," but the title itself is already suggestive. Additionally, the teaser synopsis mentioned, "Oliver Queen seeks revenge when Arrow returns with all-new episode."

Meanwhile, CarterMatt also reported its assumptions for the second half of the season, which includes more drama focusing on Oliver and Felicity.

Fans will just have to wait for more updates or wait until "Arrow" season 4 returns to The CW on Jan. 20, 2016.
