With the expected release of the Apple iPhone 6s and 6s Plus inching closer, more details about this pair of future smartphones come to light. While most reports focus on unmasking their specs, Dutch website TechTastic has its eye on the pricing of the upcoming devices.

The publication claims that the new smartphones will be pricier than their predecessors, at least in the Netherlands, and that even the base model will break the bank.

According to the aforementioned site, the 16 GB model of the iPhone 6s will be priced at €699 ($649). Buyers will have to add €100 more (€799 or $749) for a 64 GB version. To get a 128 GB version, users will have to shell out €899 ($849).

Those who would like an iPhone 6s Plus unit will have to spend €799 ($749) for the 16 GB model, €899 ($849) for the 64 GB version, and €999 ($949) for 128 GB worth of storage space.

However, as BGR noted, these match the prices tied to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the country.

In other related news, the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus have been hinted to offer an additional color option – rose gold. Apple always dips its iPhones in black, gold and silver but case manufacturer Spigen has an Amazon ad that says "a new color has bloomed."

Spigen made mockups for the upcoming iPhones donning a rose gold chassis. As shown in the company's teaser, the front glass is colored white, just like what the gold and silver iPhone 6s versions will get. It will reportedly match the rose gold version of the Apple Watch but instead of 18-karat gold, it will only be made of colored aluminum. While Spigen's teaser doesn't mean that the rose gold iPhone 6s is official, it has long been speculated that Apple will introduce it soon.

The new flagship smartphones from Cupertino are reportedly showing up on Sept. 9.
